When Spider Webs Unite They Can Tie Up a Lion, 1

We took this image of the fish surface to better understand how material structure plays a role when placing medical devices across hydrogels or simulated human tissue for intimate contact. 

The purpose of this research is to develop a universal device system as a drug and/or sensor loading platform for drug delivery and health monitoring in the gastrointestinal tract. 

The structure of the polyacrylamide gel has significantly smaller features, filled with bead-like fragile crosslinkers, facilitating the requirements in achieving intimate contact with soft and fragile substrates.
