The irradiations in this project are an aesthetic investigation into the wave-nature of light. They reveal in them the ways in which photons can behave not just as particles but also as waves which can interfere. These images where created by shining laser beam through blown glass optics which then refract, internally reflect, and diffract the light outwards into the forms that you see. That light is then captured on 8x10 inch film which is developed and scanned to yield the images you see.
