This is a five colour multiplex confocal microscopy image of whole mount mouse small intestine. In this image I used immunofluorescense labelling to investigate the morphology and distribution of different macrophages within the tissue. These cells likely have varying impacts in diseased-states as well given their capacity for influencing a pro-inflammatory or anti-inflammatory environment.
