The image shows delivery of nanoparticles loaded with therapeutic biological molecules to the liver of mice. In the image the nanoparticles are shown in red, Liver cells are shown in green, and cell nuclei are shown in blue. Delivery of therapeutic biological molecules is major barrier to their efficacy and our lab devotes a considerable amount of effort towards developing more effective nanoparticles that facilitate drug delivery specifically to cancer cells. In this experiment the goal was to confirm whether the nanoparticles could be delivered to mice livers.
