"Epigenomics is a new frontier for genome research. Literally meaning "on top of" the genome, the epigenome refers to the chemical tags that attach to DNA and the protein that organizes DNA folding. Researchers at the Broad Institute work to understand how the epigenetic modifications to chromatin can affect human health. These graphics visualize the process of mapping the epigenetic landscape."
