"The image is an artistic rendition of the Suspended Microchannel Resonator (SMR). The SMR is a microfabricated silicon cantilever beam that is packed inside an on-chip vacuum chamber. The SMR has been used to make unparalleled sensitive mass measurements of live cells and its dynamics and is currently being integrated with other biochemical and biomechanical techniques."
