Severe injuries to peripheral nerves, the nerves that control your muscles, can limit your ability to move your body and have devastating impacts on your quality of life. The Raman Lab is developing strategies to help nerves repair after injury. In this picture, neurons connecting two organoids have been injured. In pink, new axons project from the injured neurons to re-establish lost connections.
