Aneuploid cells exhibit altered extracellular organization compared to disomic controls, with increased and disorganized deposition that suggests a stiffer microenvironment and a maladaptive cellular response. The goal of this project is to reveal new pathways and therapeutic targets that extend beyond aneuploidy, informing strategies to prevent or treat cardiac defects as well as conditions such as cancer, fibrosis, and age-related pathologies driven by cellular senescence.
