These images portray spheroids made up of stem cells that we have differentiated into motor neurons. They are sitting on top of a gel called fibrin, most commonly seen during the blood clotting process.
We were trying to learn if we can leverage the bodies’ own muscle tissue to produce chemical signals that can improve neuronal regeneration in the case of neuromuscular diseases such as ALS and peripheral neuropathy caused by cancer.
