Here is a representation of a small molecule microarray screening of the oncofusion protein Pax3::Foxo1.

Pax3::Foxo1 (P3F) is a fusion protein that occurs in some alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma cancers, through a chromosomal translocation, and it has been shown to be one of the main cause of these cancers.

The Koehler lab is trying to develop therapies to treat this type of pediatric cancer by targeting this fusion protein with SMM screenings.

In this illustration, P3F is represented as a ribbon diagram, in this type of representation the complex structure of a protein is simplified into more simple shapes, allowing to see the “skeleton” of the folded protein.
