This image shows what happens when you culture contractile muscle onto a stiff surface, the myotubules rip themselves off the substrates.

This was done in an effort to understand if our fibrin platform could be substituted with a thin coat of gelatin. This was attempted because of the optical clarity and planar nature of gelatin coated well plates.
