The image shows delivery of nanoparticles loaded with therapeutic biological molecules to cervical cancer cells. In the image the nanoparticles are shown in magenta, and cell membranes are shown in green. Delivery of therapeutic biological molecules is major barrier to their efficacy and our lab devotes a considerable amount of effort towards developing more effective nanoparticles that facilitate drug delivery specifically to cancer cells. In this experiment the goal was to confirm whether the nanoparticles could enter cervical cancer cells or not.
