"Miniaturized, slowly-degradable hydrogel spheres were injected under the skin of a mouse. This image shows the spheres surrounded by host tissue. I was trying to learn if the hydrogels had begun to degrade, and if host blood vessels were able to form more easily in the spaces between the hydrogel spheres."
