"My work focuses on the role of cell-material interactions in cellular phenotype modification for cell-therapy applications. This image represents a single Endothelial Cell (whiter spot) seeded on 3D polymeric mesh (darker region). We were trying to learn if cells are able to adhere and completely invade the scaffolds upon seeding. We observed that cells are able to adhere to the polymeric substratum. Actually they can adhere so strongly that they can fight the gravity and be able to stick to the lower side of the strut without falling down."
