This is a human stomach organoid or mini organ. It was stained with a nuclear dye (blue) and cytoskeletal dye green, to demonstrate the three dimensional growth characterisitics of organoids in our organoid cultures.

We employ the use of new three dimensional culture techniques to grow human mini tissues to help identify new drug therapy regimens to treat cancer. In this case we identified a specific drug as particularly useful for treating their tumor based on the relative resistance their normal tissue had for the drug.
