"This image shows two neurons of the amygdala, a brain region involved in emotional learning and processing. Before imaging the neuron, we recorded their electric activity and filled them with a small molecule that allows imaging and reconstruction of the neurons morphology. The main goal of this study is to test whether amygdala neurons present different changes at the electrophysiological as well as anatomical level, depending on previous learning experiences of the animal."
