"This is an image of mouse glial brain cells cultured on a plastic coverslip and then stained with fluorescent antibodies. [It] was taken as part of a larger autism study in which I was attempting to determine the subcellular localization of a particular autism-related protein. This particular image shows only the glial staining. [It] was taken as part of optimization experiment. The end goal was to use this antibody to determine if an autism-related protein co-expressed with the glial marker antibody."
