Two-Photon Fluorescence Micrograph
"Skin contains fluorescent components, including structural proteins, amino acids, enzymes, and coenzymes. These components mainly reside in the lipid bilayers that surround the skin cells. The excitation and visualization of these components provide information on the organization of the skin. In addition, these skin components can be visualized before and after skin treatments in order to assess morphological changes in the skin."
