"This image shows simultaneous localization of the origin of replication and the replication machinery in live Bacillus subtilis cells. Cell outlines (shown in white/grey) were visualized with the vital membrane stain FM4-64. The origin region (cyan) was visualized using LacI-CFP bound to lac operators inserted near oriC. The replisome (yellow) was visualized using a fusion of the Tau subunit of DNA polymerase to YFP."
